• Thewa is an ancient jewelry making technique which involves the embossing of intricately worked-out sheet gold onto molten glass. This process dates back to the Mughal period and can take up to one month to complete. All Coomi peices created using this special gold-infused glass are made by a single family living in a small village in India.
